How to delete (remove) campaigns in Google Ads

You can remove Google Ads campaigns, but the deleted campaigns will still be visible in your Google Ads Editor dashboard. It keeps the data because Google Ads transactions are of a financial nature, and an audit trail has to be kept.

Therefore, although deleted campaigns are tagged with a “Deleted,” status, you will still be able to see them in your list of campaigns.

Keep in mind: you can filter your campaigns to see only those that are enabled, or see all campaigns except the deleted ones.

How to permanently remove a campaign in Google Ads

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account

  2. From the page menu on the left, click campaigns

  3. For each campaign you want to delete, just check the box next to it

  4. Once you’ve selected every campaign that you want to remove, click “Edit”
